Interested in working with a cutting edge technology company?  Working in a variety of tasks and supporting our Valencia, CA facility we are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Inspector / QC Inspector.  

 

Stratasys is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Inspector/QC Inspector to inspect materials and finished parts for compliance with engineering drawings and company specifications before assembly.  You will approve items within specifications for transport to assembly or storage area and recommend disposition of items not meeting standards.  In this role, you will also maintain the calibration system and be responsible for the day to day maintenance system.  A couple of other job duties will include:

  • Perform complex inspections under minimal supervision to determine conformance with specifications, utilizing standard instruments, functional gauges, and test rigs in accordance with instructions and techniques.
  • Perform detailed first article inspections
  • Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags, and nonconforming material documents
  • Perform duties in support of the calibration system
  • Prepare calibration reports and certificates

 

As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in an inspection role
  • Knowledge of GD&T

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) certificate
  • Knowledge of CMM techniques and language
