Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Software Control Engineer!  As a team member, this individual will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of software used in the operation and automation of the Stratasys Printer products. 

 

As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

  • Design critical attributes of the final software products including reliability, ease of use, performance, ease of service, ease of future maintenance and extensibility. 
  • Create specifications, work estimates and schedule updates.
  • Contributing to the technical excellence in software design by preceding each implementation with a design of appropriate detail (reviewed by others) and by reviewing peer’s designs.
  • Innovate, recommend and drive product improvement using approaches such as new feature ideas, software architecture and 3rd party integration
  • Innovate, recommend and drive process and tool improvement

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other engineering field with 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer.
  • C#, .NET & WPF experience including multi-threaded programming
  • Software testing and validation experience
  • Experience with development and testing of machine control software

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional experience developing PLC logic preferably using Ladder logic
  • Understanding of communication protocols including Modbus
  • Experience in SQL
