The Process Manufacturing Engineering (PME) group supports this goal with technical expertise in manufacturing, process, advanced materials and applications experience across all technology offerings.

 

  • This Senior Manufacturing / Green Belt Engineer, will create manufacturing capabilities
  • Use strong Six Sigma Black/Green Belt experience to implement process improvements and lean manufacturing principles
  • Assess risk and provide customer solutions for technical challenges
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and work flow
  • Interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements
  • Support other departments regarding production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes


As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 8 years combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing operations with a working knowledge of polymer materials and design for manufacturing in additive and conventional manufacturing industries
  • Designing complex 3D parts/mechanical systems in CAD, generating technical drawings; skilled in GD&T
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt projects (implement process improvements, lean manufacturing principles using structured problem-solving skills including demonstrated use of DMAIC, Root Cause analysis, SPC, FMEA, Fish-Bone diagrams, 5 Whys, etc…)
  • Experience with MS Office and Solidworks; pivot tables and extensive formula use in Excel required
  • Experience working in a cross cultural and collaborative environment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Rapid Prototyping/Additive Mfg industry and technologies
  • Experience with APQP and PPAP tools, Control Plans and Designs of Experiment desired
  • Experience with Aerospace and Medical Device specs and regulations desired
  • Prior experience with Python or similar programming language desired
