Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is looking for a Senior CAD Software Engineer!  This Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining CAD software, including algorithms involved in 3D modeling and computational geometry. Must have a passion for solving visualization complexities of 3D modeling!

As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

  • Will develop and maintain desktop and web based Graphical applications designed for reliability, ease of use, performance, ease of service and ease of future maintenance and extensibility.
  • Build and deliver great technical advancements for CAD software users.
  • Engineer and polish new libraries and components as we build out desktop and web based front end applications.
  • Collaborate with other teams including backend developers to design systems and APIs to work best with the front-end apps.
  • Contribute / implement technical excellence in software design by creating specifications, new feature ideas, software architecture and 3rd party integration.
  • Create an efficient and maintainable product by developing and testing well-documented code that meets requirements and maintains a low defect level while adhering to the documented design, the company standards, and schedule.
  • Execute Product Development Process (proposal, schedule, milestones, peer reviews, program reviews, system integration, testing, and product rollout support) in collaboration with a product development team.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA / BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or other related science or engineering discipline with 5+ years applicable experience as a software engineer OR Master’s degree with 3+ years’ applicable experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with CAD including algorithms
  • C#, .NET and WPF experience required, including multi-threaded programming.
  • Software testing and validation experience required.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Industry experience using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Experience with at least one major JavaScript web framework such as React, Angular, etc.
  • Experience in SQL and/r NoSQL databases.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 5% to interact with remotely located teams.
