This Manufacturing Engineer II will collaborate with the project engineering team, sales and customers on manufacturing capabilities.  This role will assess risks and provide solutions on customer technical challenges. 

  • Develop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing method and work flow
  • Interface with suppliers to secure services to meet the customer requirements
  • Support other departments regarding the production schedule and other considerations to facilitate the production process

 

As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing operations with a knowledge of polymer materials and design for manufacturing in additive and conventional manufacturing industries.
  • 3+ years experience designing complex 3D parts/mechanical systems in CAD

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with PPAP packages, control plans and design of experiments
  • Experience with Aerospace and Medical Device specs and regulations
  • Proficient with python programming language
  • Good understanding of Polymer Science

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%
