Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a Quality Specialist to perform detailed product inspections using various tools. The role involves developing and maintaining internal quality systems to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards. The Quality Specialist will also manage the Document Control process, ensuring documents and procedures are regularly reviewed, updated, and stored. Additionally, the position focuses on continuous improvement of products, services, and systems to enhance quality and drive efficiency.
What you will be doing:
• Assist Fulfillment team with reviewing customer drawings for inspection feasibility and quoting inspection lead time
• Perform in-process, final inspection and testing as required using precision inspection tools (calipers, micromotors, gauges, FARO Arm, Optical Comparator, Profilometer, etc.)
• Perform data and statistical analysis related to capability and inspection requirements
• Manage NCR’s (Non-conformance Reports) and ensure dispositions are completed in a timely manner
• Ensures that proper inspection plans are in place and followed for each part
• Assists with developing and implementing procedures needed in production/quality for new or ongoing production
• Assess risk and assist in providing solutions to production challenges
• Maintains, monitors, and analyzes all quality metrics on a regular basis
• Coordination and performance of internal and external customer process audits
• Collaborates with Quality Management in maintaining ISO 9001 & AS 9100 registrations
• and regulatory conformance
• Collaborates with sales and customer service teams to manage customer complaints and customer returns by acting as a facilitator for the Material Review Board. Generates a written response to customer’s request for corrective action.
• Collaborates with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve vendor nonconformances by acting as a facilitator for the Material Review Board. Generates a request for corrective action.
• Collaborates with manufacturing to implement process improvements using Statistical Process Control and process monitoring
• Support manufacturing in helping define capabilities and limitations for various manufacturing methods, materials, and post processing procedures
• Edit, format and evaluate existing documentation for applicability and completeness
• Be familiar with organizational structure to adequately assist with selecting approvers for each document
• Review requested changes for accuracy and compliance with internal policies, route for signatures and release within document control system
• Manage the review of existing documents in accordance with document control policies
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Attend all required company training

• Other Responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager
Must have for this role:
As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three years’ experience in quality, operations or ISO regulated production environment required
• Proficient in root cause analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving
• Computer proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office
• Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Great customer interface skills
• Good organizational skills
• Comprehensive understanding of GD&T
• Ability to work well with others
Nice to have:
• Comprehensive knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
• Comprehensive understanding of Inspection methodologies and equipment
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems AS9100 and/or ISO9001
• Quality experience in a manufacturing or service bureau environment
• Competent technical writer
Travel required: 10%, domestic travel
