What you will be doing:

  1. Assess risk and provide solutions to technical challenges from customers
    1. Perform blueprint/drawing/contract review and drive proper planning and inspection
    2. Identify third party or post process solutions, where necessary, to meet customer requirements
  2. Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and workflow
    1. Create and maintain work instructions, process specification and control docs
    2. Resolve production bottlenecks; perform capability studies, improve process flow
  3. Provide engineering support/improvements through data driven analysis
    1. Implement data collection & reporting tools and/or techniques
    2. Define process baselines, process variations and control limits
    3. Provide technical review for QC, non-conformances and CAPA’s
  4. Drive local facility operations initiatives such as
    1. Continual process improvement; LEAN objectives
    2. Efficiency metrics derived from analyzing process variables
  5. Provide education and expertise to order fulfillment team, sales and customers regarding facility manufacturing capabilities.
  6. Support R&D efforts in characterization and validation of new materials, software and equipment for photocurable resin and polymer printing production
  7. Foster strong collaboration between all departments within Operations

 

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Works in a pleasant office environment with other department staff, utilizing a computer workstation and various software applications. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor

Must have for this role:

  • Four-year degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing operations with a working knowledge of photocurable resins, polymer materials in additive manufacturing industries and design for manufacturing
  • Proficient in GD&T and FFF methodologies
  • Experience in maintaining, diagnosing and servicing complex industrial additive manufacturing printers
  • Structured problem-solving skills including demonstrated use of DMAIC, Root Cause analysis, SPC, FMEA, Fish-Bone diagrams, 5 Whys, etc…
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and Solidworks; pivot tables and extensive formula use in Excel required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong relational skills both inter-personal and organizational.  Experience with cross cultural communication/collaboration
  • In depth knowledge of Rapid Prototyping/Additive Mfg industry and technologies (photocurable resin specific)
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles

 

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ROI studies, creation of business cases, desired
  • Proficiency with Python programming language desired
  • Well versed in UV curable resin science
  • Experience designing complex 3D parts/mechanical systems in CAD, generating technical drawings
