We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead demand validation, production planning, and inventory optimization across a dynamic global environment. This role is critical to ensuring product availability, minimizing working capital exposure, and delivering reliable supply performance in alignment with commercial and operational goals.
You will serve as a central connector between Sales, Marketing, Production, Procurement, and Logistics—translating demand signals into executable production and supply plans that optimize service levels and cost efficiency.
This is a high-impact role with direct influence on business performance, customer satisfaction, and supply chain resilience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Production & Capacity Planning
- Develop and manage monthly and annual production plans aligned to demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
- Optimize production volumes and sequencing to ensure high service levels while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Proactively identify and mitigate bottlenecks across manufacturing operations.
Demand Forecast Validation & S&OP Alignment
- Analyze and validate sales forecasts in close partnership with Sales, Marketing, and regional stakeholders.
- Translate market dynamics, promotional activity, and regional demand signals into actionable supply plans.
- Contribute actively to S&OP processes and executive planning reviews.
Inventory & Working Capital Management
- Own finished goods inventory levels, turnover rates, and shelf-life compliance.
- Balance service level targets with working capital optimization.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent slow-moving or excess inventory.
Procurement & Raw Material Coordination
- Ensure raw material availability through close collaboration with Procurement and suppliers.
- Make data-driven decisions regarding purchase quantities and timing.
- Identify and escalate supply risks, shortages, and capacity constraints.
Order & Plan Adjustments
- Manage planning changes with minimal disruption to confirmed customer orders.
- Communicate risks and trade-offs clearly and proactively to stakeholders.
- Lead scenario planning in response to demand shifts or supply disruptions.
Data & Systems Ownership
- Maintain high-quality material master data to ensure planning accuracy.
- Leverage ERP/MRP systems to drive planning precision and transparency.
- Support continuous improvement and digital supply chain initiatives.
Decision-Making Authority
- Adjust monthly and annual production plans within capacity and financial targets.
- Authorize inventory adjustments aligned with shelf-life and working capital goals.
- Influence raw material purchasing decisions in coordination with Procurement.
- Escalate supply chain risks and recommend corrective strategies.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- · 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or operations management within a manufacturing environment.
- · Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP or similar).
- · Demonstrated success in inventory optimization and demand planning.
- · Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
- · Advanced analytical skills and strong proficiency in Excel or equivalent planning tools.
- · Fluent in English (German is a plus, if applicable).

- Experience participating in S&OP processes.
- Background in global or multi-site manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of shelf-life sensitive or regulated products.
- Experience leading supply chain improvement projects.
