Senior Customer Support Engineer (CSE), Japan

As we continue expanding our footprint across Asia, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior CSE to join our Japan team and help deliver exceptional technical service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support for Stratasys 3D printing systems, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and application-related issues
  • Deliver on-site technical support until issues are fully resolved, ensuring minimal customer downtime
  • Perform on-site system installation, commissioning, and operator training
  • Escalate critical issues promptly to the Team Leader or Manager with clear documentation
  • Prepare timely and accurate service reports for customer support management
  • Participate in special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and company programs as needed
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical expertise

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5+ years of field service experience in a technical support capacity
  • Strong multidisciplinary technical knowledge, including:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Electronics
    • Fluid systems
    • Software and networking
    • Computer hardware
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in complex equipment environments
  • Great interpersonal skills, with team and customers
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Experience with SFDC or equivalent CRM software is an added advantage
  • Basic know-how in MS Office Suite (ie. Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset
  • Must be business-level proficiency in Japanese (written and verbal)
  • Business proficiency in English is an added advantage
  • Able to travel domestically within Japan as required
