The San Francisco location is looking for a Senior Test Engineer in the hardware quality department. Our Sr. Test Engineer will need to use their experience of different test methods/approaches to ensure excellence in product testing. This role will evaluate the right time to apply and utilize applicable testing methods/ approaches, which will result in world class Product Integrity and Reliability.



  • Building test set-ups, including data collection setups, in order to perform the tests
  • Develop automated tools to analyze large datasets for irregularities and trends
  • Execute testing activities to enhance product performance and consumer experience
  • Performing tests and collecting data
  • Participate and provide feedback with data in the phase review process
  • Understand un detail Product functionality and failure modes on order to interpret product requirement documents
  • Product Alpha/Life testing for core and peripheral product
  • Troubleshooting Product Alpha/life testing as the need arises
  • Set up equipment, acquire data and create reports
  • Build upon current test plans to meet Hardware Engineer requirements
  • Able to write and execute control test plans
  • Perform issue identification and root cause failure analysis
  • Prepare regular testing updates to highlight progress and significant developments
  • Ability to associate Engineering responses


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree or 4 + years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years experience in testing and/or electro-mechanical machinery design
    • Ability to execute complex, involved and somewhat tedious test procedures
    • Ability to write or modify test script.
    • Ability to identify improvements yet continue to work with the current test regime into proposed improvements can be assessed and properly implemented
  • Knowledge of ESD and ESD best practices and  ​Knowledge of metrology understanding.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Belt (green or black preferred)
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification
  • PMP Certification is helpful
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with industrial 3D printing product development.
  • Experience and certification to IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620.
  • Understanding and experience with product reliability and reliability test methods.
  • Advanced metrology including but not limited to conducting repeatability studies.
