Sales Development Representative, Japan
As a member of the Stratasys Global SDR team, this role drives the sales of Stratasys solutions through a proactive approach on phone / email / social media to new and existing accounts in Japan. The ideal candidate will work closely with regional marketing and sales teams, as well as channel partners, to research potential accounts, identify key players and source new sales opportunities before passing them to the sales team for development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively conduct demand generation activities such as outbound calls, personalized emails, networking, social media engagement to reach out to potential prospects, understand needs and generate interest to achieve quarterly targets
- Research accounts and identify key players in targeted industry or sub-segment based on sales requirement and market opportunities
- Partner with other functions (marketing, sales, resellers, application engineers, customer support) to run outbound campaign to new prospects and installed base initiatives
- Match Stratasys solutions and use cases to satisfy customer needs and pain points
- Maintain database and manage pipeline movement from lead creation, qualification to solution selection
- Route qualified opportunities to respective account manager or channel partner for further development and closure
- Respond in a timely manner to inbound inquiry from incoming phone, email, and website etc. by marketing, promotions and sales executives
- Act as primary point of contact for requests for information, quotes and general follow-up activities with the designated customer base
- Ability to create quotes as needed to support customer interactions
- Any other ad-hoc projects & tasks as per guided by management
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of enterprise/B2B inside sales or direct sales experience in the technology/high-tech/ hardware industry
- Native Japanese, mandatory (verbal and written), English is workable
- Self-motivated, result-driven and strong desire to succeed with a “can-do” spirit
- Outgoing personality with high listening skill working directly with customers in a consultative approach
- Associate degree in business administration, marketing, statistics or related field; university matriculated a plus
- Computer literate, proficient in MS office (Excel). Experienced with Salesforce.com, Salesloft/Outreach and Analytic tools an advantage
- Possess conflict resolution skills and escalation management
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
