Our 3D printers enable mass production of end-use parts using our Programmable Photopolymerization P3™ technology, combining high-performance materials from our ecosystem along with industry-leading accuracy, consistency and detail.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Application Engineer to join our diverse, talented, global team.  As an Application Engineer at Stratasys, you will work with hardware, materials, and software. Become the go-to expert in the P3 technology to support our global customers, prospects and internal teams.  You will be focused on using our 3D printers, creating best practices, guideline documentations and conducting trainings.  The work is diverse and involves collaboration across Stratasys, engaging with product managers, customer support, sales and partners. 


Essential responsibilities:

  • Develop customer applications to enable customer success
    • Clarify and define customer requirements, identify unmet needs
    • Demonstrate the technology’s capability of solving specific technical challenges
    • Keep track of diverse applications, and be on the lookout for prototypical applications that may be representative of larger opportunities
  • Print parts that impress
    • Challenging escalated customer benchmark parts
    • New materials, machine/material qualification parts
    • Analyze data, create print reports and cost estimates
  • Be the Voice of the Customer to the product organization
    • Collect and organize customer application-level feedback: bugs and material or HW/SW feature requests
    • Provide input to requirements documents for future products
  • Provide high-level technical support to other AEs, customers, and sales reps
    • Solve design, supporting, printer challenges
    • Engage with the global SSYS community providing top-tier support to address the biggest challenges
    • Effectively work directly with the management, engineering, customers and resellers


Qualification requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience of relevant work experience (including polymers/materials, additive manufacturing, process)
  • 2+ years’ experience using CAD/CAM software applications – advantage
  • Experience in 3D modeling, 3D printing – an advantage



Education required:

  • A BSc in Mechanical/electrical/industrial/chemical engineering or equivalent
