As a member of Design Engineering Group, you will be responsible for escorting new products from R&D to production and  managing a team of 4 engineers

 

NPI

  • Coordinate and participate with local and abroad R&D teams on design for manufacturability and implementation of new products in the production line
  • Monitor and interact with R&D project managers, system engineers and designers to optimize design for operations needs
  • Optimize and manage design changes for contract manufacturing and full turnkey (DFX)
  • Manage and control Turnkey activities for system building/subunits local and overseas
  • Conduct ECO processes to assure system quality, manufacturability and improvements
  • Manage Sub contractors for Assembly lines and mechanical/ electromechanical parts manufacturing.
  • Define the product integration processes
  • Be responsible for building Product/ Production file, Product documentation, BOM, jigs and tools design
  • Additionally, develop workflows, protocols, and provide tactical direction, programs, support in the administration of NPI and mechanical engineering
  • Develop, manage and conduct FAI processes for new products and their assemblies
  • Represent Engineering at PLCM gates and product management forums
     

CPE

  • Increase quality, reliability and serviceability by designing improved sub-units for current systems
  • Design new jigs and fixtures for current products
  • lead cost savings through hardware redesigns
  • Field POC for current product support
  • support current product revitalizations and improvements
  • Manage EOL and 2nd source activities
  • Coordinate and participate with local and abroad R&D teams on design for manufacturability and implementation of existing products in the production line
  • Monitor and interact with R&D project managers, system engineers and designers to optimize design for operations needs
  • Optimize and manage design changes for contract manufacturing and full turn-key (DFX)
  • Support the Production line and customer support on an on-going basis including managing escalations
  • Develop, manage and conduct FAI processes for new assemblies
  • Serve as Operations technical link to R&D (SW, ME, EE, SE)

 

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • BSc degree in Mechanical engineering- mandatory. Msc degree in Mechanical / systems Engineering- an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in mechanical design / R&D environment
  • Proven experience in mechanical or production engineering
  • Strong written and verbal English language communications skills. Strong ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships on a multi-level basis
  • Ability to present technical information and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience in multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience in manufacturing technology activities – plastic molding, extrusion, casting etc. - an advantage.
  • Experience in leading a DFX process
  • Experience in CAD software – Solid Works an advantage.
  • Experience in PDM / PLM tools – Agile an advantage.
