As the leader of the APAC Legal you will serve as a leading focal point for our Stratasys Asia Pacific (APAC) business unit. 

In this position, you will be responsible for offering day-to-day legal counseling to the APAC region regarding corporate and commercial, matters, and other tasks normally entrusted with internal counsels in similar positions, working closely as a trusted advisor to this business’ management. In addition to these responsibilities, you may be responsible to other legal tasks in the Israel HQ, providing legal advice to designated corporate units, such as business development, Sustainability and other projects, etc.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Commercial contract drafting and negotiation, including with strategic customers, resellers and distributors
  • Developing and implementing compliance mechanisms and processes in the areas of: anti-corruption, antitrust, data security, export control and privacy compliance, as well as other compliance requirements
  • Implementation and training business unit personnel re our corporate compliance policies
  • Responsible for reviewing and negotiating business development type agreements – alliances, cooperation, joint developments agreements, investments and M&A agreements
  • Assist on other legal matters and contribute to the overall legal function
  • Managing local outside counsels in the region
  • Regular interface and focal point to a highly interactive legal / business teams
  • Other responsibilities customarily assigned to in-house corporate counsels

 

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess a BA from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice in Israel; MBA is an advantage
  • 10 years of progressively complex experience in compliance, commercial and transactional law;
    • Previous experience working with Asia Pacific region is an advantage
    • Previous experience with leading compliance projects and matters is a strong advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an in house counsel for a US or other publicly traded company;
  • Must be an English native speaker
  • Strong initiative skills, as well as excellent management, teamwork, delegation and problem-solving abilities; Previous experience in managing people is an advantage
  • Experience working constructively and persuasively with business leaders and staff;
  • Excellent business counseling, client service, drafting and negotiating skills;
  • Highly motivated with good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Professional maturity, strong leadership skills and proven experience in bringing people together to resolve problems;
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills as well as the ability to create and communicate complex and innovative legal solutions;
  • Experience working in a complex and high-pressured international business environment;
  • Strong PC skills, communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Experience in program and process development; and
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, ability to manage through change and to lead change when appropriate
  • Ability to work well with others.
