Application Engineer- Dental Solutions

Stratasys is hiring an Applications Engineer- Dental Solutions. This position plays a pivotal role in the incubation of new ideas and the development of robust processes, technologies and professional relationships that support sales of our cutting-edge Additive Manufacturing technologies.


The successful candidate:

Will work with development partners to create innovative dental solutions.

Will bring to the organization unique knowledge of dental production processes and their challenges and apply Stratasys cutting edge technologies to address those challenge.

Will strengthen Stratasys position in the dental market by streamlining the integration of current Stratasys dental products into the dental production workflow.

Will be traveling to customer locations to act as a primary customer-facing technical partner, project facilitator and educator.


              Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

    A Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline will also qualify a candidate           

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a company. customer facing roles are an advantage 
  • Must have demonstrably strong skills/knowledge of dental CAD/CAM systems such as Sirona, CEREC, 3shape, exocad or similar solutions
  • Prior work in dental laboratories, dental device manufacturers or dental software solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Project leadership and project management skills highly desired.
  • Must be creative, self-motivated, and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to resolve technical issues while maintaining a good working relationship with development partners, customers, and colleagues.
  • Quick learner that is capable to quickly gain deep expertise in new professional areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in 3D Printing and/or Additive Manufacturing, and experience with Materialise Magics - strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO and USP certifications such as 510(k), PMA, USP Class Vi, ISO 13485, ISO 10993, food contact, biocompatibility, sterilization, and other pertinent and germane regulations.
  • Working knowledge of anatomy, biology, organic chemistry, and demonstrated ability to understand medical or dental specific terminology.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of common manufacturing technologies and parts fabrication techniques across polymers, composites, metals and ceramics.
