This role offers a unique opportunity for an engineering student to gain hands-on experience by supporting key business objectives, focusing on the technical validation, documentation, and promotion of Stratasys medical solutions, including surgical planning, anatomical models, and other initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Applications team in building deep technical knowledge on advanced applications in Medical 3D printing
  • Actively support and contribute to new application development projects in collaboration with R&D, Product, and Sales/Marketing teams
  • Conduct technical benchmarks and produce high-quality sample parts and demonstrators
  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and communicating customer/application needs to internal stakeholders (R&D, Product, Sales, Marketing)

Basic Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Bio-Medical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • A balance of at least 3 semesters remaining and availability 2-3 times a week.
    • High verbal, written and presentation skills in English
    • Self-motivated, independent, creative, and collaborative
    • Ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion
    • High technical competency to support printer operation and maintenance
    • Collaborative, team oriented, a strong ability to work well with others and have a customer service mentality with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Result driven, with high problem-solving capabilities
    • Proficiency in medical imaging conversions from DICOM data through commercial and/or non-commercial software packages.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Must be creative, self-motivated, and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision.
    • Travel: up to 25%. 

Nice to have:

    • Knowledge in 3D modeling / CAD software
    • Experience in 3D Printing
    • Strong academic background in image processing
    • Exposure to or a strong academic interest in medical device regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485,QMS, Biocompatibility, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of anatomy, biology, organic chemistry, and demonstrated ability to understand medical specific terminology.
