The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality processes and standards are in place and followed in the manufacturing and procurement of Stratasys systems and consumables. Enterprise Supplier Quality Engineer leads and ensures production and quality requirements are communicated and understood, resolve quality-related concerns to customers, conducts supplier and internal assessments and oversight activities, and supports verification/validation activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible as the key liaison between BUs, suppliers, and the customer, ensuring that overall specifications, quality/regulatory requirements, and expectations are met for all purchased products.
  • Lead/support part qualification and supplier qualification activities
  • Perform quality system, process, product audits, and surveys to ensure that all suppliers are meeting SSYS business requirements including flow down and quality standards.
  • Develop & Implement Enterprise Supplier Quality processes (Certification, Evaluation etc.)
  • Responsible for supplier corrective action, deviation approval & periodic supplier feedback
  • Work with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans.
  • Review ECO’s, deviations, contracts, drawings, routings, purchase orders and various related production and development plans for quality requirements
  • Monitoring, reporting, and support of supplier quality metrics and performance
  • Drive defect containment and assure problem resolution in a timely manner for component or material quality issues impacting production lines and external customer.
  • Develop inspection methods and plans, test method validation, and component capability assessments supporting component specification development and the identification of critical features.
  • Lead risk management activities, including the development and implementation of FMEAs, process control plans, and quality agreements.
  • Train, coach, and mentor quality engineers as a subject matter expert in key technical areas
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality, productivity, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.



Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering/ Chemical/ Material 
  • 5 +years of engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of Quality Auditing - internal, external, regulatory (as auditee)
  • Production environment oriented with complex high technology of Chemical & Mechanical industry.
  • Certified Quality Lead Auditor
  • 5+ years’ experience with Chemical commodities – raw materials, formulations, packaging materials
  • Good engineering practices including documentation, engineering change control, reporting, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Must understand and be able to apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis, failure mode, and effects analysis (FMEA), and the control of nonconforming material.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to accomplish objectives.
  • Excellent statistical/analytical skills for problem-solving with the ability to teach/coach others
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP methodologies
  • Excellent communicational (both verbal and written) skills- both English and Hebrew.
