The Fulfillment Team Lead plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. This position leads the daily picking, packing, and shipping operations for finished goods, ensuring products are prepared and shipped according to quality and delivery standards. The Fulfillment Team Lead coordinates team activities, monitors workload and priorities, and partners with Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to achieve on-time, error-free shipments. This role also supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency within the fulfillment process.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Lead daily fulfillment operations including order picking, packing, staging, and shipping
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure proper workflow to meet shipping schedules
  • Verify order accuracy, labeling, and documentation for all outbound shipments
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the finished goods and staging areas
  • Ensure all outbound activities meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Provide direction, training, and coaching to material handlers and fulfillment associates
  • Support onboarding of new team members and promote cross-training
  • Monitor team performance and communicate expectations for accuracy, productivity, and safety
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability and teamwork
  • Maintain accurate inventory of finished goods and packaging materials
  • Perform and verify system transactions in Oracle/WMS for order fulfillment and shipping
  • Support cycle counting and reconciliation of finished goods inventory
  • Escalate discrepancies and assist in root cause investigations
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety
  • Collaborate with the others teams to improve order flow
  • Participate in team meetings and report on performance metrics, challenges, and successes
  • Support company initiatives related to Lean, 5S, and standard work practices

 

Must have for this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or shipping operations
  • Strong knowledge of order fulfillment processes (picking, packing, labeling, shipping)
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (Oracle experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

 

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a lead or senior material handler role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP/WMS 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with logistics, production, and quality teams

 

Travel Requirements: 10% domestic

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $52,835 to $66,278, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
