Project Engineer II - Tooling and Molding

In the position of Project Engineer – Tooling & Molding you will oversee customized job portfolios for a variety of customers which will include constant communication with internal/external customers and prospects by both phone and email.  As a Project Engineer you will be expected to manage expectations, convey Stratasys capabilities, generate competitive bids, provide status updates, offer technical guidance, and prevents or resolves project related conflicts.  Other duties and responsibilities are:

  • Management of new injection mold builds
  • Review and verify customer contracts for acceptance and negotiate changes as needed
  • Prepare work orders and data for use in production and verify that all information is correct and complete.
  • Qualify and interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements.
  • Consult with customers on a technical level to resolve design and manufacturing related issues.

 

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or 5+ years of experience working for a mold maker as a designer or being a mold maker
  • 3+ years of experience with tooling and injection molding
  • 1+ year of Solidworks experience or similar software
  • 1+ year of experience reading 2D prints and understanding GD&T

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful management of injection mold builds
  • Great customer interface skills and vendor management experience
  • Familiar with the RP & CAD industries
  • Previous program/project management experience a plus
