The team in Nottingham is part of Stratasys and responsible for a series of 3D printers with

the ambition of moving 3D print from prototyping into production. You will play a key role in

the software team supporting and further improving a high-speed 3D printer based on

world-leading piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet technologies.

 

 

As a Software Engineer, your role is to develop the core 3D printing engine, optimizing and extending the

capabilities of the machine, as well as developing tools and features to assist other teams

like R&D and customer support. You will work closely with software and hardware engineers at Stratasys

Nottingham to design a reliable machine and seamless user experience.

 

The team in Nottingham is part of Stratasys and responsible for a series of 3D printers with

the ambition of moving 3D print from prototyping into production. You will play a key role in

the software team supporting and further improving a high-speed 3D printer based on

world-leading piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet technologies.

 

 

What you will be doing:

• Enhancing how printer data is collected and presented for internal stake holders

• Extending the framework for printer data analysis with new tools and views

• Adding features and options to the printing user experience

• Printer user interface updates

• Managing printer configuration

• Managing user roles and security

 

 

 

Must have for this role:

 

• Bachelor or equivalent in Software development, Computer Science or

documented equivalent work experience. You have a good understanding of

physics and thermal processes.

• 3+ years in python programming

• 2+ years in linux systems

• 2+ years in APIs (e.g. fastapi, flask)

• 2+ years in AWS, preferably ec2, s3, route 53 and lambdas

• 2+ years in HTML/CSS/javascript within frameworks like Vue 

 

 

Nice to have:

• ROS (Robot Operating System)

• Automated test systems, continuous delivery (e.g. unit testing, system testing,

Jenkins, Docker)

• Databases

• Vue2

• MQTT and other network protocols, including web security

• C++

• git source control

 

 

  •  Travel required:25% or less
