The Medical Business Development Manager will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive, multi-year account development strategies focused on additive-manufactured parts for our medical customer base. In this role, you will identify key use cases for each account and deliver tailored solutions across Stratasys' extensive medical portfolio with a focus on Medical Devices from Prototyping to Production.
Serving as the Medical Business Development Manager, West you will lead the organization growth goal in expanding Stratasys' medical go-to-market (GTM) reach. This position requires seamless collaboration with internal departments, including Product Management, Engineering, Fulfillment, Quality, and Operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer success.
Additionally, you will work closely with our hardware sales team to showcase the full ecosystem of Stratasys' cutting-edge additive medical solutions, enabling clients to unlock the potential of innovative, state-of-the-art technologies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Account Development & Relationship Building
- Significantly expand existing relationships within targeted accounts and establish mutual C-level, Engineering, and Procurement partnerships.
- Collaborate with account champions and executives to develop multi-year joint account development plans, supported by SDM executives and Engineering teams.
- Build strong internal relationships across the organization, ensuring alignment towards company goals and seamless team collaboration
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Deliver superior results by achieving quarterly milestones and meeting annual revenue and profitability targets for each account.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for medical product lifecycle development
- Implement and enhance the company’s established sales process, including strict adherence to Salesforce.com and other CRM systems, to support scalability.
- Follow the SDM’s established sales policies and procedures to maintain consistency and professionalism in all sales activities.
Customer Advocacy & Internal Collaboration
- Proactively provide the voice of the customer from key accounts to inform internal departments and drive improvements across products and services.
Daily Sales Activities
- Conduct MQL prospecting follow-up, manage opportunities, and close orders through calls, email campaigns, and leveraging the company’s extensive sales technology stack.
- Ensure data accuracy and demonstrate proficiency in navigating internal systems to deliver consistent and measurable results
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of direct business development or strategic sales experience within the U.S. medical device, MedTech, or healthcare manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated responsibility for an annual sales quota with consistent achievement of 100% or greater of target.
- Documented success selling into U.S.-based Medical OEMs, hospitals, or physician networks, with measurable expansion of key accounts.
- 2+ years of experience in Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) or advanced manufacturing technologies, preferably within regulated medical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, ISO 13485).
- Existing network within Medical OEM procurement or engineering leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
Travel required: 50%
