Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician I to perform routine preventive and scheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and required calibrations or adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance. This role also maintains accurate maintenance records, manages spare parts inventory, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
What you will be doing:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on additive manufacturing machines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Regularly inspect machines and equipment for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction
- Conduct scheduled repairs and replacements of machine parts, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent production flow
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns, diagnosing issues and performing emergency repairs to minimize production interruptions
- Calibrate machines to ensure they meet production specifications and quality standards
- Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in additive manufacturing equipment
- Notifies the Machine Maintenance Manager or facility Director of machines needing repair or more extensive maintenance
- Monitors any outside vendors on site for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts using CMMS software
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability when needed
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Attend all required company training

- Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager
Must have for this role:
As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and motion control principles
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools
Nice to have:
- Two year technical degree in a related field
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $to $, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
