We are seeking a dynamic Systems Engineer to lead the technical execution and direction of complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programs. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing system requirements, conducting trade studies, managing technical risks, and guiding a team through the full product development lifecycle — from concept through integration and test. You will play a critical part in delivering innovative electromechanical solutions that advance our company’s technical capabilities and strategic goals.
What You’ll Do
Problem Solving & Technical Innovation – 30%
- Solve complex product development challenges and provide technical direction.
- Lead and advise on internal and external design reviews.
- Translate project requirements into actionable specifications.
- Present technical strategies and concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication – 30%
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, service, purchasing, marketing, and sales teams.
- Engage with external contractors to ensure consistent project understanding.
- Clearly document and communicate requirements and updates.
Technical Leadership & Planning – 20%
- Lead the development of technical system requirements and system architecture.
- Oversee design integration and validation from concept to completion.
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve products or processes.
Risk Management – 15%
- Assess and mitigate technical risks; develop contingency plans.
- Conduct thorough design reviews to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Ensure traceability and compliance with specifications.
Documentation & Systems Engineering Tools – 5%
- Contribute to intellectual property through patents and innovations.
- Use engineering tools such as CAE and PDP to enhance productivity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a project leadership role OR 3 years with a Master’s degree OR PhD with no prior experience.
- U.S. Export Control Compliant (ITAR).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with electromechanical system design, development, and testing.
- Proven leadership and team coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with system integration, design validation, and cross-functional leadership.
- Comfortable managing technical ambiguity in complex project environments.

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $75,000 $115,000 base salary, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
