Collections Analyst

The Collections Analyst is responsible for the resolution and management of outstanding invoices and delinquent accounts. Works directly with clients to negotiate payment terms consistent with company practices. Interacts with sales support, order management, and accounts receivable in reconciling accounts. Serves as the escalation point for customer payment disputes and makes recommendations for write-offs, account adjustments and reconciliation. Audits and analyzes aging reports, tracking collection efforts and may initiate outside collection approach for unresolved delinquent accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Performs collection duties with specialty accounts
• Works with sales support and resellers to perform customer account reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies
• Manage all internal and/or external customer interactions and conflicts in a professional and diplomatic manner
• Analyzes aging reports to make recommendations for resolution
• Uses an AR system to establish, monitor and report customer balances.
• Obtains cooperation of order administration, sales department and other accountants to get duties and tasks completed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of related experience in Collections, Banking, Customer Service, Sales, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Proficiency in Oracle
• Ability to work well with others.
• Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution

 For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $60,000- $70,000 base salary, which does not include 8% annual incentive pay or benefits. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
