We are looking for our new Lab Technician, for our site in Aylesbury.

 

 

The position summary:

 

This is a prototyping and production role for the fabrication of 3D printed industrial design and engineering models.

The 3D Printing and Shop Technician will support the creation of 3D printed rapid prototypes, high-quality finished appearance models, working models, manufacturing fixtures, short-run prototypes, and small batch production.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain in-house SLA and 3D printers.
  • Manage post-3D print production: remove supports, wash/cure, sand.
  • Inspect/quality control and pack printed parts.
  • Follow shop and equipment safety practices, wearing protective gear and following best practices.
  • Maintain model shop: keep materials stocked, order parts, keep equipment in good order, maintain organization, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating 3D printers is a plus but not required. We are willing to train someone who has a passion to learn and similar experience working in craftsmanship skill set such as, furniture making, jewellery, etc.
  • Experience/Interest in painting and finishing prototypes with spray finishing techniques including priming, painting and clear coating.
  • Responsibility and accountability to work in a fast-paced environment with actively well-managed productivity, efficiency, and deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
