Junior Analytical Laboratory Technician

The Analytical Laboratory Technician supports analytical testing activities for R&D, Quality Control, and Manufacturing. This role is responsible for performing laboratory tests, documenting results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring work is performed in accordance with quality and safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to begin a career in an analytical laboratory environment.

This is an ~8-month temporary replacement 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing according to laboratory procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare samples and accurately document test results.
• Support chemical and physical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment following established procedures.
• Analyze test results and report findings clearly and accurately.
• Maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with SOPs and quality requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting laboratory issues and investigations.
• Follow laboratory safety practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment. 

Qualification:

• Recent graduates with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related scientific field, or a Practical Engineer (associate degree) in Chemistry.
• Laboratory experience gained through academic studies, internships, student projects, or previous employment.
• Familiarity with analytical instruments laboratory techniques andequipment. (e.g., FTIR, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer, viscosity, density measurements) – an advantage.
• Basic Excel skills, familiarity with LIMS – an advantage.
• High attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a willingness to learn.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Fluent English.
