We are looking for a Commodity Manager to join our Direct Sourcing group for a position located in Israel, Kiryat Gat.

In this role you will lead the activities and projects to develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies for assigned commodity categories.

You will be responsible for building centralized capabilities in Procurement to achieve sourcing excellence. Responsible aggregate purchase volumes of ~$20M.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Apply sourcing, procurement, and project management expertise and job experience to:
    • Define Preferred Suppliers within assigned commodity categories.
    • Achieve company cost reduction
  • Manage various projects within Sourcing group scope of activities:
    • Support supplier integration efforts into new product development & R&D projects
    • Establish and manage supplier performance expectations – both commercial and technical
    • Manage total lifecycle of a supplier contract, including submission to legal, expiration alerts, etc
    • Lead sourcing projects such as: integrated new platform into Stratasys portfolio, Cost reduction projects, regulation that need to be implemented for suppliers
  • Collaborate with Operation Engineering, QA and Procurement Teams to identify and develop new suppliers, lead, define and execute projects and meet deliverables within a matrix organization

The position is located in Kiryat-Gat, with presence of  minimum once a week in Rehovot.

 

 

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • BSc or BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Technology or Business-related major or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sourcing and supplier management experience, in the area of Electronics, Plastic or Materials (Mechanics –an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its application.
  • Ability to communicate on a global, multi-cultural and regional basis using clear and concise oral and written communication skills, with a proficiency of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to manage complex and/or critical internal and external relationships requiring diplomacy, strong negotiating, analytical and technical skills
  • A strategic thinker that is results-oriented and quality-focused and possesses an appropriate sense of urgency and attention to detail in managing individual and team projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Travel requirement:  Must be willing to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
