The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for supporting production lines and executing technical projects aimed at developing or improving processes, manufacturing systems, quality systems, and final products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of FDM Consumables processes.
- Support and maintain processes related to new technologies, and process parameter development.
- Ensure cost-effective, safe, and timely completion of assigned projects.
- Conduct failure investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with all Operations departments, including manufacturing, quality, and purchasing.
- Prepare and manage ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), DEVs (Deviations), design updates, BOM (Bill of Materials) changes, procedures, and related documentation.
- Implement new technologies and coordinate with subcontractors to establish new production lines or technologies.
- Uphold Stratasys Core Values by demonstrating leadership and aligning actions and behaviors with company principles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and participate in required safety training.
Essential Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering – required.
- 3–4 years of experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer – required.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing (extrusion, compounding, or injection molding) – preferred.
- Experience in SolidWorks – required.
- Demonstrates a "can-do" attitude, creativity, and an innovative mindset – required.
- Hands-on approach with strong interpersonal skills – required.
- Familiarity with control software, ERP systems, and Agile methodologies – preferred.
