About the Role

Stratasys is seeking an experienced Government & Defense Sales Specialist to lead strategic growth across Japan’s public sector and defense markets. The role is responsible for expanding adoption of 3D printing solutions for government and defense applications. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of procurement processes, demonstrated executive-level sales experience, and an interest in advanced manufacturing technologies.

What You Will Do

• Strategic Market Leadership: Develop and execute a strategy to expand Stratasys’ presence within Japan’s government and defense sectors.
• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including government officials, policymakers, and defense stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.
• Procurement & Tender Management: Manage procurement activities, including tenders, e-auctions, and direct negotiations. Prepare proposals in alignment with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Revenue Delivery: Identify new opportunities, develop partnerships, and execute account plans to achieve agreed sales targets.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, government initiatives, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for products, solutions, and collaborations.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Provide guidance to internal and partner teams on government and defense sales practices, ensuring alignment and effective execution.

Who You Are

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years of executive-level sales experience in government or defense sectors, ideally within technology or advanced manufacturing. Proven success navigating Japan’s government procurement ecosystem.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of 3D printing technologies and their applications in the public sector and defense. Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets.
• Skills: Exceptional executive presence, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes.
• Other Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively within Japan. Knowledge of government policies and procurement frameworks is highly desirable.
