As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall productivity. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical expertise, you will lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.

 

What you will be doing:
•    Provide technical leadership to drive innovation in 3D printing production capabilities
•    Lead day-to-day production support, driving process improvements and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
•    Oversee all technical aspects of production, including floor layouts, equipment, custom assembly fixtures, work instructions, training, and on-the-ground support
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to solve complex problems and optimize product assembly processes
•    Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations and reduce waste
•    Design and redesign assembly/manufacturing fixtures using SolidWorks, with a strong understanding of 3D designs/models for production
•    Work closely with a dynamic team of engineers, technicians, and production leaders to ensure seamless production workflows
•    Bring manufacturing engineering experience in building electro-mechanical products (e.g. medical devices, industrial equipment) to ensure product quality and efficiency
•    Utilize strong project management skills to lead initiatives, influence teams, and drive results
•    Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, always striving to enhance processes and exceed expectations

 

Must have for this role:

  • 4 year degree in engineering
  • 5+ years related experience, or 3+ years related experience and a Masters Degree, or a PhD
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process development, optimization, and project management.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical
  • Previous experience using additive manufacturing
  • SolidWorks for fixture design, not product design
  • Experience with manufacturing of electromechanical capital equipment

 

Travel required: 10%
