As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall productivity. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical expertise, you will lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.

 

What you will be doing:

Project Management

  • Manage and lead projects related to process improvement, cost reduction, and new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution within defined timelines and budget constraints.
  • Work closely with product design teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and align with production capabilities.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and process considerations.

Process Development

  • Lead the design and development of manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with production goals and quality standards.
  • Implement improvements to existing processes, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implement solutions to increase overall effectiveness.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to processes, equipment, and materials.

Quality Assurance/Compliance

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement measures that enhance product quality and reliability.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct cost analysis for manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.

 

Must have for this role:

  • 4 year degree in engineering
  • 5+ years related experience, or 3+ years related experience and a Masters Degree, or a PhD
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process development, optimization, and project management.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical
  • Previous experience using additive manufacturing
     

Travel required: 10%
