The Senior Commercial Applications Engineer (Polymer Powder Bed Fusion) will be responsible to be an advanced technical Subject matter expert helping to assist the Stratasys commercial team. The SR. AE will be focusing on executing both pre-sales and post-sales, consulting with prospects, producing benchmarks samples and providing solutions to customer needs.


In this role the AE must be a champion and advocate to internal and external customers. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the commercial sales teams, by working with prospective customers and channel partners.

Lead and project manage as well as Coordinate all of the Beta and NPI activities, including training/mentoring reseller applications experts. Must have a full and complete understanding of the competitive landscape. Able to expand use

case applications working closely with the Product and marketing teams.



  • Teach and mentor internal and channel AEs to help prospects and customers on PBF workflow and how adopt PBF as a preferred production method
  • Lead online and in person seminars on PBF for production. To include design for Additive Manufacturing
  • Help prospects and customers understand the benefits of transforming production from traditional methods to PBF both from a workflow and financial perspective
  • Act as primary technical application liaison between customer and product development teams
  • Coordinate and Project Manage Powder Bed Fusion Betas and NPI activities
  • Provide technical demonstrations to partners, prospects, customers or investors of all software and hardware products
  • Serve as a project leader for the expansion of Powder Bed Fusion applications for customers, prospects, product managers
  • Be an advocate, champion and industry leader in Powder Bed Fusion
  • Understand and articulate the competitive landscape for Powder Bed Fusion
  • Act as subject matter expert while at Stratasys tradeshows



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience working within Additive Manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years of experience using CAD/CAM software applications, including Materialise solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with Polymer Powder Bed Fusion
  • 3+ years experience working with Pre-sales sales and sales teams with Additive Manufacturing applications



  • 15+ Years Additive Manufacturing experience 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to resolve technical issues
  • Project leadership and project management skills
  • Experience with design, prototyping and manufacturing process requirements, performing time and work sequence studies, and recommending adjustments to manufacturing operations, developing standard operations conducting various time and cost studies 
  • Experience supporting complex electro-mechanical equipment
  • Experience in Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Injection Molding, and Low-Cost/Fast-Turn Injection Molding industries


TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: up to 50%, (varies in product cycle)
