The Shipping and Receiving Clerk II is responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of products, materials, parts, and supplies.  This individual will accurately maintain records, process shipments, sort packages, and accept deliveries. They will be packaging a variety of parts in size and weight, to ensure that parts are received in good order by the customer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Receives incoming shipments of merchandise; verifies accuracy of shipments against bills of lading and invoices; keeps records of goods received; reports damaged goods and shortages; routes goods to proper departments
•    Research and resolve shipping and receiving issues though communication with appropriate third party contacts
•    Maintain data integrity through consistent procedures and processes  
•    Drop off packages to a local FedEx or UPS drop-off location, as needed to ensure shipping dates are met 

•    Communicates with shipping companies, internal customers, and external customers effectively
•    Researches shipping/receiving issues and solve problems efficiently
•    Loads and unloads trucks and move materials within the warehouse
•    Responsible to for compliance to all quality management systems
•    Working with internal teams to ensure inventory integrity

•    Maintains accurate manual and electronic records
•    Considers ways to improve systems and propose procedural changes
•    Prepares internal documentation that may involve multiple departments
•    Implementation of hazardous material requirements to include labeling
                                                                                   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    3+ years experience in shipping and receiving position
•    2+ years Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, etc.)

•    Forklift Certified
