In the position of Quality Lab Lead you will be responsible for assisting the Quality leadership with daily coordination of work activities and the development of production employees, ensuring safety, quality, policies, and procedures are followed and schedules are achieved supporting Operations and R&D. This position will also evaluate, implement, and monitor quality using laboratory analysis tools and documentation systems by testing the physical, mechanical, and thermal properties of samples, record and review laboratory data.

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience with analytical, mechanical, and thermal testing to include plastics and thermal, mechanical and physical testing
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficient technical writing of procedures and work instructions
  • Proficient in developing and understanding data and Pareto charts as well as the ability to present and summarize to management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects to include initiative to work with other internal departments to identify cross functional solutions and make recommendations for improvements
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Polymer or additive manufacturing experience
  • Experience with instruments such as tensile and flexural mechanical testing, DSC, MFI, rheology, microscopy, etc. 
  • ERP Software, Agile
  • Validation experience
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%
