The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures at all company locations. The Network Engineer provides high-level technical support for voice and data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and participates in projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. The Network Engineer also supports and maintains servers and storage attached networks (SAN).
Network Engineering:
- Install, configure, analyze, and upgrade network equipment (including routers, switches, and firewalls) and network servers & data storage (including hardware software and operating systems).
- Perform preventative maintenance for network, server, and storage equipment; test and make required adjustments to meet appropriate standards and service levels.
- Provide troubleshooting expertise for network problems including software protocol issues, performance analysis, WAN/LAN failures and equipment malfunctions. Operate network requiring 24/7 availability.
- Utilize network and server monitoring tools to diagnose faults and to analyze performance.
Customer Engagement and Teamwork:
- Communicate status, business impacts and system changes to team members, business partners, sponsors, management and other interested parties.
- Coordinate and participate in testing efforts. Manage testing activities for implementation, maintenance, and project assignments.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and attend all safety trainings related the job.
- Coordinate issues-tracking and own issue resolution on high level, complex projects.
- The Network Engineer will be versed with the engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices, network management systems, and network operating systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years progressive experience with LAN/WAN communications, network hardware, switches, bridges, gateways and firewalls, with an in-depth knowledge of routing protocols.
- Minimum 2yrs supporting Cisco FTD, WAF (such as F5), Web Filtering, and network management tools.
- 2+ys experience managing ISA & proxy servers, VMWare & Windows servers, and SANs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds comfortably as part of regular job duties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience managing network attack types and mitigation techniques
- Experience working in a Global Environment

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $70,000-$90,000 base salary, this number does not reflect eligible variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
