The Mechanical Inspector/QC Inspector to provide inspection support to manufacturing throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product.  You will be relied upon to learn how to read and understand quality requirements, specifications, and purchase orders to ensure it conforms to customer requirements.

What you will be doing

• Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions, and Purchase Orders, with an understanding of quality requirements and specifications.
• Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings.
• Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings.
• Basic understanding and use of Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (PCMM)
• Perform inspection in compliance to AS9102.
• Create Non-conformance reports (NCR) and ensure dispositions are completed.
• Enforce company quality standards with special regard to customer satisfaction; product accuracy and appearance; and on time deliveries.
• Assist manufacturing departments in implementing and conforming to quality systems such as: ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal and external monitoring; continuous process improvement; employee training.
• Maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection and testing requirements.
• Participate in all 5 “S” activities as assigned.
• Assist in Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

Must have for this role:

• 1 - 2 years of inspection experience preferred
• 1-2 years of use of standard inspection tools.
• 1-2 Years’ experience with  Engineering drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• 1-2 years experience with First Article Inspection experience

Nice to have:

• . Previous experience working in an ISO / AS 9001 organization
• AS9102 First Article Inspection experience
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) training
