Stratasys is looking for a Materials Technician to support the materials team in the development of polymer materials.  You will be responsible for working with senior materials and operations staff to plan, schedule, process, and revise materials development and analysis projects.  You will also be responsible for maintaining extrusion equipment and training less experienced operators.  In addition, you will run the extrusion equipment, package finished materials, record and analyze quality data, and collecting communication results and progress to engineers, project managers, and operations staff.


As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 



•    Develop and maintain extrusion and molding quality and safety procedures
•    Process filament and compounding extrusion activities as needed
•    Proactively and effectively organize, coordinate, and execute extrusion operations in cooperation with engineers or managers
•    Communicate performance of quality, safety, and efficiency during shift meetings
•    Assist in development of staging processes for extrusion operations and maintain communication regarding materials with material handlers and engineers
•    Create capital expenditure request list and participate in related planning meetings
•    Track, schedule, and record routine maintenance to R&D-related equipment

•    Assist with specifications and standards required for new technology development
•    Make ERP inventory and manufacturing transactions as needed
•    Record production output and other KPIs in proper systems



  • Associate's Degree in related technical field
  • MS Office experience with proficiency in Excel and Word 
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills



  • 3+ years of single screw extrusion experience
