The Stratasys Summer Internship Program is designed to give interns a holistic view of what Stratasys has to offer from a multitude of departments. Our 12-week paid program begins in May and goes through mid-August. During the program each intern is embedded in real time projects, which they contribute to or even lead depending on their experience level.  Our Campus team helps to educate, train, and grow our interns through Monthly activity such as 3D printing trainings, Lunch & Learn seminars, and Coffee Talks with department leaders.  We also try hosting offsite team building activities to promote networking among the group through volunteer events.


In this Role: The Industrial Engineer Intern will support the Enablement Lab in continuous improvement. It is a unique opportunity to see FDM, PolyJet, Stereolithography, DLP, and SAF technology all being ran in the same location. The student will be mentored by a Process Manufacturing Engineer to not only see how the technology is solving customers problems, but they will also be able to apply the knowledge gained from their degree and apply it in a production like environment.


What you will be doing:

  • Learn how to operate machines and post process parts.
  • Learn how to apply industrial engineering concepts to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Get to work on continuous improvement projects and learn from the ground floor and gain valuable experience in the 3D printing world.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner with Good communication and organization skills.
  • Flexible and capable of managing a diverse set of tasks


Must have for this role: 

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree as an Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineer
  • Two years of higher education must be completed - (Entering Junior or Senior year education as of Spring 2023.)


Nice to have:

  • 3D Printing experience highly desired
  • Preferred Major(s): Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Engineering, Operations Management
