Stratasys is currently looking for a Commodity Manager, Indirect to join our Eden Prairie Procurement department.  This department works in the procurement of goods and services and establishing and maintaining good supplier relationships.  In this role you will be responsible to support the sourcing activities of defined business units across the organization on a global level.  A couple other duties will include:

  • Execution of global sourcing strategy to meet the goals of the assigned business unites to include cost, quality, delivery and supply base.
  • Execution of sourcing activities to include contracts, tender management, negotiation and closure of contracts to obtain optimal cost and services
  • Build business partner relationships to understand the needs of the department in include training on the PR/PO process
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers and reviewing legal contracts

 

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Law or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in indirect sourcing or buyer position

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a global organization
  • Experience working with Oracle
  • Leading projects, data analysis and vendor reviews

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10% local travel
