The Electronic Technician provides production support through a wide variety of routine and complex troubleshooting, testing, and rework tasks. The individual will support continuous improvement activities associated with product assembly and testing. They will also assist Manufacturing Engineers on special projects and mentor less experienced technical personnel.


What you will be doing:


  • Support production by troubleshooting assemblies to root cause.  Procedures are followed and documentation of results and inventory transactions are completed as defined
  • Troubleshooting to component level on circuit boards using schematics and test equipment
  • Perform rework of electrical assemblies and circuit boards that includes soldering
  • Invests an appropriate amount of time to troubleshoot a CCA based on its cost and assembly line needs
  • Define and control the parts inventory needed for CCA repair
  • Creates documentation to define troubleshooting of specific problems
  • Completes appropriate documentation for MRB disposition
  • Assists the Purchasing team in the disposition of rejected and repaired CCA’s

Testing & Measurement

  • Work assignments are planned, prioritized, and completed to meet the requirements of various internal customers
  • Must demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and compliance with established policies, protocols, and procedures.  Must follow formal testing and troubleshooting procedures and properly record inventory transactions as defined
  • Operates equipment safely and reports accuracy or condition issues to appropriate personnel
  • Submits ideas for equipment modifications or new equipment required to complete tests or perform troubleshooting

  • Other Responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager


Must have for this role:

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field
  • 6 years of experience in a technical, production role to ensure a complete understanding of troubleshooting protocols and production procedures
  • 2 years’ experience in component-level troubleshooting of circuit boards


Nice to have:

  • Additional post-secondary technical training and applicable coursework is desirable and preferred
