As an accountant, you will be exposed to a variety of accounting areas. We are looking for great communication, collaboration, attention to detail and prioritization skills due to the large number of accounting and finance counterparts this role interacts with, and tight deadlines that must be met monthly and quarterly.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Daily bank activity, including account balance review, ACH hold releases, and manual wire processing as needed.
  • Reconcile daily banking activity to GL, booking journal entries as needed.
  • Prepare weekly Cash Flow Report for Treasury team
  • Support weekly Accounts Payable run, with file transfer and release in the bank.
  • Review of intercompany activity, creating and receiving intercompany cross-charges batches as needed
  • Communication and alignment with intercompany partners across the world on intercompany activity and month-end balances
  • Review of prepaid invoices received by the Accounts Payable to ensure proper amortization period is set
  • Month-end close journal entries and reconciliations related to various accounting areas assigned, Cash accounts, Prepaids, Accruals, Intercompany receivables, and payables, etc.
  • Review of new vendor setup and vendor changes to ensure proper documentation, approvals, and accuracy.
  • Administrator of accounting reconciliation software, Blackline, including opening and closing periods, assigning new accounts, user setup, review and follow up on open items.
  • Open and Close GL period in Oracle. Monitor for unposted entries during close timeframe.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the company's internal and external auditors and assist with financial audits, reviews and SOX compliance
  • Understand and use our Oracle ERP system correctly and efficiently.
  • Strive to identify and implement process improvements.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or demonstrated equivalent business experience.
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience
  • 3+ years with complicated issues and propose solutions that are compliant with Company’s policies and US GAAP, along with leveraging and optimizing the use of our Oracle system
  • 3+ years working in an organization that has a large number of legal entities, understanding key aspects of consolidation & eliminations accounting
  • 3+ years of Excel  and experience working with large ERP systems (Oracle preferable)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Public accounting experience (with Big 4 firm or large regional firm) and CPA/CMA 
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple, competing tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate decisions and achieve results
  • Confidence and good judgment, coupled with a positive energy & personality, to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment across all levels of management and geographies
