The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will independently design and improve production processes and provide production support in the production of 3D printers and related assemblies.
What you will be doing:
- Proactively support the resolution of daily production issues
- Independently design and qualify production processes and custom production fixtures. Develops and implement new manufacturing techniques as required
- Independently define and implement production flow and layout improvements
- Initiate and lead process improvements in product quality, process efficiency, cost savings and customer satisfaction
- Communicate manufacturing requirements for the successful transfer of new products into production
- Creates and/or updates assembly procedures, bills of materials and routings
- Lead the work activities of production personnel
- Creatively and independently resolves production issues
- Determine root cause of problems. Evaluates alternative solutions and implements best course of action
- Builds productive collaborative relationships with senior personnel and leadership
- Able to communicate complex information effectively and transfer information through written and verbal methods. Adapts style to differing production personnel
Must have for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent/related
- 5+ years in a production environment
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote
Nice to have:
- SolidWorks
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of Six Sigma Green Belt concepts
- Knowledge of Lean concepts
Travel required: 10% domestic
