Provide advanced technical assistance to the Stratasys sales team by driving internal and external collaboration to advance production applications in the Automotive Segment, executing pre-sales training courses, producing benchmarks and samples, and providing solutions to customer needs. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and applications-based project management to the commercial sales teams in the Americas and globally by working with prospective clients, channel partners, and technology partners under minimal supervision and by acting as a liaison between the sales and technical teams. 



  • Develop subject matter expertise in the full portfolio of additive technologies for automotive prettying, tooling and production needs, and provide automotive subject matter expertise to the product business units
  • Work across the company to increase the production-oriented parts business within Stratasys Direct Manufacturing
  • Develop subject matter experience in our metal and polymer production offering within Stratasys Direct Manufacturing
  • Represent Stratasys within industry groups and standards organizations
  • Lead and support collaborative customer engagements within automotive sectors
  • Interface with customers to establish alignment between customer requirements and Stratasys production capabilities
  • Make recommendations on the customer’s product development and manufacturing methods
  • Understand customer goals and requirements in terms of quality, functionality, price and delivery in production contexts
  • Provide technical demonstrations to partners, prospects, customers or investors of all software and hardware products
  • Support Sales and Marketing departments at tradeshows and conferences
  • Serve as a project leader on special applications for partners, customers, prospects, product managers
  • Communicate with relevant cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of customer projects



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience working in a design or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing processes and tooling
  • 3+ years of manufacturing processes and tooling experience




  • Extensive experience in technical roles within the automotive industry highly desired
  • Extensive experience working with powder based additive technology
  • Experience developing additive manufacturing processes for use in production part applications is critical

  • Experience collaborating with industry and standards organizations
  • Prefer experience with manufacturing process requirements, designing and implementing tools and fixtures, performing time and work sequence studies, and recommending adjustments to manufacturing operations, developing standard operations conducting various time and cost studies 
  • Experience supporting complex electro-mechanical equipment is desired
  • Prefer experience collaborating with sales teams
  • Creativity and willingness to gain an advanced understanding of Additive Manufacturing applications are desired attributes
  • Must be self-motivated, and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision.  Project leadership and project management skills highly desired
