Stratasys is offering a role as Desktop Support Technician based in Aylesbury.   


As Desktop Support Technician, you will support our UK and European teams with day to day technical support for PC and network infrastructure, including operating systems and hardware. You will install, configure, troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, and basic network issues for several offices in the UK and wider across Europe. You will be part of the EMEA IT team and report to the IT Director.  


The role: 


Operational Management (60%)

  • Deployment of End User Equipment and Office Applications to Users
  • Deployment and operation of management tools to support End User devices (enable automation, implement upgrades and patching of existing equipment and produce reports)
  • Asset Management of assigned and unassigned End User Devices
  • Utilize ServiceNow to manage User incidents and requests and document details regarding problem troubleshooting and/or resolution
  • Escalate and collaborate with appropriate department to resolve issues


 Technical Support (30%)

  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve incidents independently utilizing diagnostics and appropriate tools
  • Requires detailed documentation on the status of a ticket 
  • Ability to manage End Point protection (patching, User access/authorization, Antivirus etc.)
  • Work closely with the Information Security team in supporting deployment of secure solutions and contribute to the Technology Roadmap.
  • Execute Incident, Change, and Root cause ITIL processes. 
  • Create, maintain and update PC Images using SCCM technology
  • Manage and support Microsoft Active Directory, Office365, SharePoint Services, e-mail, Enterprise Collaboration and other company-wide systems
  • Ability to handle a wide range of IT responsibilities and special projects as required
  • Perform/participate in root cause analysis when required 
  • Maintain passwords, information security for end-user equipment.


Other (10%) 

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

  • Other Responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager






  • Must be Export Control Compliant (ITAR) 
  • 5+ years’ experience in Desktop Support or equivalent, responsible for in-depth troubleshooting and application support.
  • Experience with client security software
  • Prior experience with Microsoft SCCM deploying desktop OS’s applications and patches in an enterprise desktop environment, server administration, desktop technologies, scripting languages, mobile devices, desktop images development and strategies, Active Directory, Office365, Group Policy Management, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite Applications
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend end-user hardware and software
  • Experience of ITIL frame works for Service Delivery and service support processes.
  • Prior experience in Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and mobile operating systems
  • Primary partner with Network and Systems as the infield/on location smart hands

  • Experience of networking, including WIFI and remote access technologies including VPN clients.
  • Previous ServiceNow experience a plus
  • General knowledge of business telephone system functionalities.
  • Subject matter expert in one or more technical areas



  • Regular travel required domestically and internationally
  • Must have a valid UK drivers license
