As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be working on cutting-edge software for 3D printing products including GrabCAD Print.

In GrabCAD:

We are focusing on creating a cloud based software platform to unify different printing technologies into one manageable, extendable and configurable 3D printing ecosystem.

We are focused on creating a connectivity platform for different 3D printer technologies, Business Intelligence solutions to enable our customer to get an insight into their install base, order and shop management system and finally on GrabCAD Community with more than 7 million members sharing CAD files and professional tips. You will be designing new features for the community, revamping our brand image and being part of product launches. In addition you will have unlimited access to 3D printers. 

 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Designing and developing innovative solutions for 3D printers
  • Designing and building full product end2end (full stack BE/FE)
  • Writing automated tests to ensure your code works
  • Deploying your own code to production
  • Responsible for product quality
  • Most of our software is written in Ruby and hosted on AWS
  • Working closely with other developers and also getting your hands dirty here and there
  • Designing/building product metrics to help understand our users in depth
  • Analyzing, designing and building changes to improve scalability and performance
  • Taking initiative and involving peers and other teams into process when needed
  • Maintaining existing products to keep customers happy

 

The​ ​position is​ ​based​ ​in​ ​our​ ​Cambridge,​ ​UK​ ​office. **We are open to full remote working but you must be resident in the UK**
