Developer in Test – Cambridge UK
The Developer in Test is someone that can get inside the code and knows how to test it. The ideal candidate will have a background in TypeScript development, be comfortable writing TypeScript code, producing test harnesses and automation scripts. The successful candidate will join a small, but global, Software team in a fast-paced environment developing a range of desktop and cloud-based software products for the 3D Printing space and will work as part of a team responsible for the development and implementation of our automated testing and CI/CD practices. This role will appeal to a developer that enjoys coding/testing, or a developer who wants more involvement within the realms of Automated testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities:
· Demonstrable experience with manual and automated testing, with a strong desire to produce world leading software products.
· Daily work will be as part of a multi-disciplinary scrum team working in a continuous integration environment.
· Manual testing of Pull Requests, including creating and executing manual test plans and exploratory testing.
- Designing/Implementing automated test cases. Automated test frameworks and test cases currently use the following:JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL, TeamCity, Amazon Web Services, Maven, Powershell, GrabCAD Workbench
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years in lieu of degree)
· 3+ years hands on experience with Software Development/Software Testing/Quality Assurance
· 1+ Experience with exploratory testing and software testing methodologies Best Practices
· Hands-on development experience building frameworks and libraries to support automated testing
· Experience in creating Manual and Automated test cases and a good understanding of Python and TypeScript
· Automation tool experience (Cucumber preferred)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with CI/CD release pipelines and integrating tests into the workflow
· Experience of Continuous Integration - Methodology and tools GIT & TeamCity preferred), related branching strategies and familiar with Agile Delivery Methodologies (Scrum)
· Experience of using and implementing Test Engineering best practises and tools
· Strong hands-on experience with mainline programming and scripting languages such as JS, TS, React, Node and Python
· Experience testing API’s, Rest services
· Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Maven, Cypress.io a plus
· ISTQB Qualifications a plus
