Business Intelligence Analyst (MakerBot)

The Business Intelligence Analyst is a critical member of the Information System team with management responsibility for the company’s interactive data visualization tool, data tables and data warehouse. Additional objectives are to help understand and manage data governance throughout the company and driving decisions to be made using data derived by our current systems landscape. This position will be supported by a data engineer who manages the ingestion of raw data into structured tables ready for querying.


As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:

  • Build and maintain dashboards reporting on key metrics for stakeholders in various Departments (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations)
  • Support new BI reporting functionality as well as support the development and improvement of new reporting
  • Interface with Project Directors to understand data needs and help build visualizations using the internal data warehouse
  • Design new data collection models to better collect information
  • Analyze data sets using statistical techniques and effectively communicate trends and patterns that enhance the opportunities to the business
  • Storytelling - Translate data and analysis into a story to help drive decisions across the organization


As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years in a similar role


Preferred qualifications:

  • Using SQL to create, manage, maintain, and manipulate large datasets (e.g., millions of rows or more). Own structural design, implementation, maintenance, modification, accuracy, and troubleshooting of datasets.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, and/or other programming languages or software libraries designed for data analysis and data visualization
  • Working with data in a business setting, including data management, data science, business intelligence, operations, reporting, or analytics.
