Stratasys is hiring a focused, highly motivated, and talented Quality Engineer that will develop and maintain internal quality systems to ensure conformance to customer and regulatory standards.  You will be responsible for continuously improving projects, services, and systems aimed at exceeding customer expectations, improving quality, identifying efficiencies, and reducing total cost.  You will work closely with the Manufacturing leadership team and employees to ensure "best in class" facility.

 

Quality Assurance

  • Researches and implements various quality processes as required.
  • Ensures that proper inspection procedures are in place and followed for each part.
  • Develops, implements and trains personnel to procedures and equipment needed in production/quality for new or ongoing production.
  • Develops and update’s customer/part specific Quality Work Instructions for receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Assess risk and provide solutions on production challenges.
  • Perform blueprint/drawing/contract review to allow proper planning and inspection.
  • Help resolve bottlenecks in production.
  • Maintains, monitors, and analyzes all quality metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Implements systemic improvements.
  • Perform internal and supplier audits.
  • Assists Quality Manager with customer and third-party audits.

 

Customer Support

  • Collaborates with sales and customer service teams to manage customer complaints and customer returns by acting as a facilitator for the Material Review Board.  Generates a written response to customer’s request for corrective action.
  • Collaborates with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve vendor nonconformances by acting as a facilitator for the Material Review Board.  Generates a request for corrective action and enters the vendor’s response into Stratasys’ corrective action tracking system. 
  • Collaborates with the Production Supervisor, Project Coordination Supervisor, and the Manufacturing Engineer/Service Supervisor to implement process improvements through the use of Statistical Process Control and process monitoring.
  • Collaborates with Quality Manager/Quality Assurance Supervisor in maintaining ISO 9001 & AS 9100 registrations and regulatory conformance.
  • Interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements.

 

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S Degree in Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • 3+ years in quality, operations or ISO regulated production environment
  • Comprehensive GD&T knowledge
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
  • Proficient in Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting & problem solving

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
  • Quality in manufacturing or service bureau environment
  • Competent technical writer
