Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in executing complex, high-requirement projects across various manufacturing technologies. This role requires strong communication skills to coordinate with both customers and internal teams, and hands-on manufacturing experience to manage workflow across departments. The Project Manager is responsible for resolving issues quickly and effectively to ensure on-time delivery and project success.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Gather and interpret quote information from the quoting Estimation Engineer
  • Assess and validate risk levels, employing a strategic approach to project management
  • Perform meticulous contract reviews with relevant documentation, capturing requirements and facilitating their flow onto the work order
  • Prepare detailed work orders and data for production, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Manage program NCRs and manufacturing issues efficiently, revisiting during reorder kick-offs
  • Assist with kick-off/order review meetings, ensuring clear communication among cross - functional departments
  • Schedule and track project statuses, hosting meetings as needed and required by the customer
  • Work collaboratively with purchasing and vendors to procure materials and services, ensuring Bill of Materials fulfillment
  • Establish, communicate, and execute Engineering Change Request and Engineering Change Order processes with precision
  • Develop and document processes for material traceability, providing thorough documentation for shipment to the customer
  • Utilize knowledge in manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and quality
  • Engage subject matter experts for valuable input, fostering collaboration
  • Facilitate effective communication of major manufacturing issues , skillfully negotiating accommodations with both customers and manufacturing
  • Lead the Fulfillment Services group in planning order processes and schedules, showcasing effective leadership
  • Assist with Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Work proactively with SMEs to enhance understanding of manufacturing, quality, and engineering processes
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Attend all required company training

Must have for this role:

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Fulfillment Services, Project Management and/or additive manufacturing and custom manufacturing
  • Demonstrated history of showing initiative in process improvement, seeking out learning opportunities and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and clearly communicate technical requirements and status of assigned projects
  • Written and verbal communication is clear and concise
  • Willingness to learn various manufacturing process specs, standards and other technical documents
  • Ability to read 2D Drawings, able to learn GD&T
  • Basic understanding of SolidWorks and/or other CAD programs
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Teams
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision

 

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience with project leadership and project management skills
  • CAD design experience. • PMP Experience and/or certification
  • Prior experience with various manufacturing methods such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, vacuum forming, etc.
