Production Finisher II

Position Summary: Performs the inspection and finishing process for compliance with engineering drawings and company specifications before assembly into a manufacturing process machine. Approves items within specifications for transport to assembly or storage area and recommend disposition of items not meeting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintains and ensures high quality parts are being produced and shipped to end customers by monitoring and final checks prior to moving to Inspection.
- Performs inspections to determine conformance with specifications, utilizing standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs in accordance with instructions and techniques.
- Performs detailed first article inspections, if required, including written results of inspections performed.
- Processes associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents.
- Participates in Source inspections and Quality System Audits internally.
- Follows all standard operating procedures i.e., ISO, ITAR, and Aerospace.
- Demonstrates commitment to Stratasys Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures and attends all safety trainings related to the job.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
- Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
- 1 years finishing / inspection experience, or equivalent combination.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and email, including ability to perform basic functions in Excel® application software.
- Sound analytical judgment including problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to resolve technical issues while maintaining a good working relationship with internal employees is required.
- Ability to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications
- Two year trade school
- Ability to understand, use, and apply basic GT&D symbols, as well as fundamental hand inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers and functional gauging, and manual and portable CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- Able to perform Gauge R&R or Measurement Error Studies.
- Familiar with fundamental CMM techniques and language.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills. Multi-tasker with the ability to implement change and encourage team development and goals, as well as ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No direct reports
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Works in a shop type environment and may be regularly exposed to dust, fumes and noise. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor.
